Synopsis
Advanced Prompt Engineering: Transforming Research, Learning and Innovation with AI is a 2-hour hands-on workshop designed to equip participants with practical skills in crafting effective prompts to maximise the capabilities of generative AI. The workshop covers advanced prompting strategies, including role-based, contextual, structured, and iterative prompting, to support research, teaching, learning, and innovation. Through live demonstrations and practical examples, participants will learn how to leverage AI for literature reviews, academic writing, content development, idea generation, data interpretation, and project planning while applying responsible AI practices. By the end of the session, participants will be able to design high-quality prompts that improve the accuracy, efficiency, and impact of AI-assisted workflows in higher education and research.

From Prompt to Influence: AI-Powered Content Creation for Social Media and Digital Branding is a practical two-hour workshop designed to introduce participants to the use of generative artificial intelligence in creating engaging and brand-focused social media content. The workshop focuses on developing effective prompts for generating content ideas, captions, headlines, calls-to-action, and visual concepts. Participants will learn how to transform a simple idea into social media content that reflects a consistent brand voice, communication style, and visual direction. Through guided demonstrations and hands-on activities, participants will create a basic social media content set using AI tools. The activities will focus on producing and refining a social media caption and visual prompt, as well as adapting the core message for selected social media platforms. The workshop will also highlight the importance of human judgement, originality, ethical considerations, and responsible review when using AI-generated content. By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to construct effective prompts and produce a simple AI-assisted social media content set that supports digital branding and online communication.
