Overview
The Master of Philosophy is a generic masters program offered by the four departments under Razak Faculty which are the Department of Engineering and Technology, Department of Advanced Informatics, Department of Science, Management and Design, and Perdana Centre. This multi-disciplinary program helps students learn to think critically, communicate effectively, and balance academic and professional interests. Candidates will be able to showcase their research training skills upon program completion. The research experience serves as a useful preparation for graduate school or a career in the private or public sectors conducting research.
Programme Educational Objectives
The objective of the program is to produce graduates that are:
Generate in-depth, relevant and cutting-edge knowledge through original, ethical and scholarly research.
Utilize the research knowledge for the benefit of communities, society, nation and humanities.
Advocate relevant knowledge and expertise through effective oral and written communications.
Pursue lifelong learning, such as graduate work and other professional education.

Learning Outcomes
The objective of the program is to produce graduates that are:
Show a systematic comprehension and in-depth understanding of a discipline and mastery of skills and research methods related to the field of study.
Show capabilities to generate, design, implement and adopt the integral part of research process with scholarly strength and ethics.
Contribute to the original research by making critical analysis, evaluation and synthesis of new and complex ideas that broaden the boundary of knowledge.
Practice research ethics and conduct responsible research.

Entry Requirements
The normal requirement for admission to the programme is a four-year bachelor degree recognized by the university in either engineering or sciences.
