Overview
The Master of Science in Smart Sustainable Infrastructure (MSSI) is a postgraduate programme designed to provide substantial knowledge and advanced skills to graduates and professionals from engineering, science, technology, and related disciplines. The programme offers professionals opportunities to update, enhance, and expand their knowledge and competencies in sustainable infrastructure while integrating Artificial Intelligence into relevant aspects of infrastructure planning, design, management, and decision-making.
The programme is application and industry-driven, enabling participants to add value directly to their organisations and the industry by integrating sustainable infrastructure principles, emerging technologies, and AI-driven approaches. It draws on contributions from experienced academics, industry practitioners, and professional experts, providing participants with practical insights and exposure to current practices and challenges in sustainable infrastructure.
The programme comprises 43 credits, including 11 taught courses (33 credits) and a Master Project (10 credits). It is designed to accommodate both working professionals and full-time students, with a minimum study duration of 1½ years for full-time study and 2 years for part-time study.
With its AI-infused and multidisciplinary curriculum, MSSI prepares graduates to contribute effectively to the transformation of infrastructure towards a smarter, more sustainable, resilient, and digitally enabled future. Entry Requirements
The normal requirement for admission to the programme is a four-year bachelor degree recognized by the university in either engineering or sciences.
